Director of Performance at Chicago Fire FC

Currently

Darcy Norman is the Director of Performance for Chicago Fire FC, leading player development, injury prevention, and multidisciplinary team support. He also runs Darcy Norman Consulting, specializing in athlete performance, biomechanics, and data-driven training.

Previously, Norman was the Head of Performance for the U.S. Men’s National Team (2023-2024), helping secure back-to-back CONCACAF Nations League titles. Before that, he spent four years as the USMNT Performance Coach (2019-2022), contributing to Gold Cup and Nations League victories. He also worked as a Lead Performance Strategist at Kitman Labs (2018-2023), developing data-driven solutions for elite sports organizations.

Professional Career

Norman played a key role in Germany’s 2014 FIFA World Cup-winning team, serving as a Fitness/Rehab Coach and Performance Data Analyst (2012-2014). He was also Director of Performance at AS Roma (2015-2018) and FC Bayern Munich (2008-2010), where he contributed to Bundesliga and German Pokal titles.

His career includes work with HTC-Highroad cycling team, EXOS, and Tahoe Forest Health System, specializing in athlete rehabilitation and high-performance training. With decades of experience in elite sports, Norman continues to shape the future of athletic performance.
