Diego Munguía Izquierdo is a Full Professor of Physical Education and Sports at Universidad Pablo de Olavide. He holds a PhD in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the University of Zaragoza. His work focuses on body composition assessment in football, performance in team sports, and the relationship between physical activity and public health.

Professional Career

Diego has published over 75 scientific articles in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports and contributed to more than 130 publications on ResearchGate. His research includes topics such as physical activity in children and adolescents and its impact on health and physical performance. He is a member of the CTS-948 research group at Universidad Pablo de Olavide. His approach highlights the connection between physical activity and symptom improvement in chronic diseases. Diego strongly advocates for exercise as medicine, emphasizing its importance for populations that have yet to benefit from its positive effects.
