Federico Genovesi

Federico Genovesi is a physiotherapist and osteopath at Manchester City FC, where he has been working since 2016. With more than 15 years of experience, he specializes in the care and rehabilitation of high-performance athletes. Federico is also developing an innovative software solution for physiotherapy and osteopathy, designed to integrate evidence-based practice and enhance therapeutic organization.

Professional Career

Federico began his career as a physiotherapist in 2006 with S.S. Lazio, working in Serie A for six years. He later served as a physiotherapist and osteopath for the Italian national Judo, Wrestling, and Karate teams in preparation for the 2012 London Olympics. Between 2012 and 2016, he worked with Palermo F.C., attending to the first team. In 2018, he joined the technical staff of Argentina’s national football team during the Russia World Cup. Since 2016, Federico has played a key role at Manchester City FC, ensuring the recovery and optimal performance of its players. Beyond his clinical work, he leads the development of a software platform that integrates data analysis and technology to optimize physiotherapy practices. This project aims to enhance patient communication, analyze therapeutic plans, and further professionalize rehabilitation practices.
