Irineu Loturco

Irineu Loturco is the Director of Sport Science and Research Leader at the Núcleo de Alto Rendimiento de São Paulo (NAR-SP). He is also the scientific coordinator of postgraduate courses in high-performance training methodology and sports medicine at the Federal University of São Paulo. His work focuses on the development and optimization of performance in elite athletes.

Professional Career

Irineu has an outstanding scientific career, with over 110 articles indexed in JCR and more than 8,600 citations. His research focuses on the application of strength training in football players, including collaborations with top-level teams in Brazil and the Brazilian national team. In addition to his research, he advises high-performance athletes in Brazil, integrating sports science with practical strategies to maximize physical and technical performance. His multidisciplinary approach combines exercise physiology, biomechanics, and strength training.
