Jose Luis Campos is an experienced soccer scout and talent evaluator with a strong background in player recruitment, scouting, and team management. Currently serving as the Academy Lead Scout at Orlando City SC, he is responsible for identifying and recruiting young talent within Orlando’s Homegrown and MLS Open Territories. He manages a network of regional scouts, oversees the academy scouting database, and recommends players for tryouts and talent identification sessions.

Professional Career

Before joining Orlando City, Campos was the Assistant Technical Director at Capelli Sport, where he played a key role in identifying and recruiting players for professional teams in Germany, Denmark, and the UK. He successfully negotiated and supervised over 20 transfer deals per season while maintaining strong relationships with agents and club executives across multiple countries.

Campos has also held leadership roles in soccer development, serving as Managing Director at Street Soccer USA, Head Coach at Chemeketa Community College, and General Manager at Southside Soccer Club. His diverse experience includes match officiating, league and tournament management, and brand marketing in soccer. With a deep understanding of talent identification and player development, Campos continues to make a significant impact in the scouting and recruitment landscape of U.S. soccer.
