Luis Suárez

Luis Suárez Arrones has been the Head of Performance at FC Lugano since June 2022 and a professor at Universidad Pablo de Olavide, where he teaches Theory and Practice of Sports Training and Functional Assessment. He is also part of the teaching team at the Football Science Institute, contributing to academic development in sports science since December 2017.

Professional Career

With over 20 years of experience, Luis Suárez has held high-level roles such as Head Fitness Coach at FC Basel (2019-2022) and Strength and Conditioning Coach for teams including Tianjin Quanjian, ACF Fiorentina, and the Qatar Football Association. He has worked as a senior researcher at the Qatar National Research Fund and was responsible for Functional Assessment and Injury Rehabilitation at Vfsport. Previously, he served as Deputy Director of IES Nervión, where he also worked as a physical education teacher.
