ABOUT THIS MASTER

The FSI Online Master High-Performance Football Coach is an international, online program aimed at football coaches whose goal is to work as a coach on a professional football team.

Throughout the Master, the student will acquire a great amount of knowledge, both theoretical and practical, on football coach applied to the real world in football teams. The student who completes this program is accredited by the FSI faculty as having obtained the necessary skills to work competently as a head coach of a professional football team or as an assistant coach.

All the professors on this education program are top-level scientists and/or practitioners in some of the best football clubs of the world. FSI is proud to be able to offer their invaluable knowledge to the students for the empowerment of the football professionals and to support football science development.

Our internship program is entirely voluntary, allowing you to apply for it without limitations. You can choose to intern at a specific club and, if desired, opt for additional stays at different clubs in the future.

However, if the internship program doesn't align with your preferences, no worries. Participation in the stays is optional, and you have the flexibility to decline. Rest assured, the FSI master's program maintains its validity, and you'll receive your certificate in the same manner

This module explores the combination of traditional physics and mysticism to look at systems in a new way. Drawing on the book by Fritjof Capra and the ideas of Edgar Morin, this course will introduce new concepts and perspectives on what a system is, the player and the spaces of the game.

The aim is to provide a foundation on which to build future modules. A paradigm of conjunction that allows to distinguish without dismantling or reducing.

This module offers a complex and systemic view of play. Building on the introduction of the first module, we will gain insight into game processes and learn how to develop a game idea while managing it on a daily basis. 

The module emphasizes maintaining composure when things seem to be out of control and understanding the game from a perspective other than cause and effect. The aim is to better understand the game and its processes.

This module covers different aspects of football, including the roles of specific positions on the pitch, as well as performance analysis tools and interviews with professional players. We will start with the role of the goalkeeper, both in the defensive and offensive phases of the game. 

We will then focus on the central defensive and forward positions, exploring their key responsibilities and skills. In addition, we will introduce a game model and locomotor activity profile, which will provide information on the physical demands of football.

This module covers a number of key topics related to football strategy and tactics, including elaborate attacking, transitions, counter-attacking in the 1st wave and tactical reorganisation in terms of balance and width-length.

This module covers important aspects of football strategy and tactics, such as offensive and defensive set plays, pressing and the role of the goalkeeper. It will examine different types of plays as well as the importance of organisation and goals in pressure situations. Overall, this module will provide valuable information for coaches and players looking to improve their understanding of tactics and strategy in football.

This module covers a wide range of topics such as the Model of Play and individual tactical principles by position, individual analysis of the team itself, the importance of team captains, analysis of goalkeepers and analysis of physical data. Our students will gain an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of football tactics and how to optimise their performance on the pitch.

This module focuses on providing coaches with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively analyse football matches. The analysis of the game and its fundamentals, the organisation and processing of information and reporting templates, which are essential for effective analysis. The module also covers the use of information in the weekly work structure and the analysis of own and opposing teams from a data perspective. The module also delves into the design of observation and labelling sheets, which are crucial for collecting and analysing data during a match.

This module covers the different dimensions of game analysis, including subjective analysis (video analysis) and objective analysis (data). This is followed by an in-depth look at the collective analysis of both the opposing team and one's own team. Defensive analysis of free kicks, corner kicks and throw-ins are also important aspects of the module. The weekly workflow of tactical analysis is covered, along with live tactical analysis.

This module covers the preferred simulated situations in football and how they can help improve players' skills. We will then delve into rondos and positional games, which can be used to develop tactical understanding and positional awareness. We will also focus on attacking and finishing drills. Possession games are essential for players to learn how to control and maintain possession during a match. We will also discuss the structure of the session, including warm-up, drills and cool-down.

This module focuses on the physiological aspects of football, exploring the external workload of a match and how it varies. It delves into the physiological responses of players during a match, including acute and long-term fatigue, and provides insights on practical monitoring using heart rate and tracking data. The module also covers training interventions to optimize fatigue endurance, and examines the relationship between high-intensity actions and football performance.

This module focuses on various aspects of football training and injury prevention. We will cover the differences between concurrent and isolated training and explore how to prescribe training loads based on tactical concepts. Additionally, we will delve into practical game-based physical training and provide general guidelines for injury prevention and management. Injury epidemiology and warm-up techniques will also be discussed, along with the importance of technification and personalization in football training.

This module covers important aspects related to the planning and management of the training sessions of a football team. It will be discussed the structured microcycle and the use of tactical information in the weekly work structure. It will be also examined the workload in an elite team's week and design a micro-cycle of work in women's football. In addition, it will be explored how to plan, periodise and review physical performance using objective metrics.

This module covers the important aspects related to strength and conditioning for football players: external and internal load control in football, which is crucial for optimising players' physical performance and avoiding injury. We will also focus on periodisation before and during the season, with special emphasis on designing effective strength and conditioning programmes for football players. In addition, we will cover the topic of avoiding off-season detraining, which is essential to maintain player fitness during the off-season.

In this module, we will explore the latest technologies and techniques used in data science and how they apply to football. We will start with an introduction to current technology, including the use of data analytics and big data in the football industry. We will then move on to football metrics modelling, which will cover a range of performance data analysis techniques. We will also explore how player performance is managed in football and how performance data can be used to make informed decisions in applied environments.

This module explores the coach's technical environment in football. The course covers various topics such as the relationship between coach and club, the process of selecting a coach for a professional team, the role of an assistant coach, and the importance of a scouting department. The module also focuses on how coaches can learn from practice within a football club context by utilizing data analysis, presentation, and delivery techniques. Additionally, the course discusses the unique challenges of coaching a national team.

This module focuses on behavior and communication. The module includes five critical topics: learning to be refered, managing the player-agent relationship, developing a personal brand through social media, dealing with media and corporate communication, and creating an environment of excellence. This module provides coaches with essential skills and knowledge to improve their coaching abilities and achieve success in their careers.

You can enrol in any program once the enrollment period is open. For more information about the programme before this date, you may register your interest in this course on our website and we will send you the updated information.

All the FSI courses are 100% online, with 24/7 access to video classes which are structured within modules.

The duration of the master's program is equivalent to the number of modules, but we at FSI extend the period by 8 months so that you can complete your training with no problems.

The FSI team will take into account each one of the enrollment applications received for the different program.

Since FSI is an online platform for higher education to obtain professional qualifications, certain academic requirements must be met in order to enroll in the Master’s programme: CV to be reviewed by the FSI Academic Department.

Each course or module within an FSI programme is taught by a different teacher. The lessons are either in english or in spanish, which allows the student to choose the language preferred. The videos that are recorded in English have Spanish subtitles, and vice versa.

FSI is a private school of Football Science that certifies its courses through the support of its prestigious Faculty of FSI. The FSI courses have the direct objective of providing the student with immediate work skills in the international world of professional football, and not only for academic career purposes. However, we are working with several international universities interested in recognizing FSI certified studies as a basis for their university degrees.

Once the student has completed any of the courses offered by FSI, and has completed the requirements, they will receive a certificate containing a security code, with which the validity of the certificate can be verified. You will also be able to download your certificate from your personal FSI account.

The FSI masters and courses do not include a mandatory internship program in the curriculum for obtaining the Diploma. However, students who want to learn practically within a professional football club structure have the opportunity of applying for the Internships Calls that FSI periodically launches through its Membership program and in coordination with its Partner Football Clubs. This internships suppose a real opportunity for the students to be integrated in the daily work structure of a high level football team, providing a strong practical experience and an interesting entrance door to the world of professional football.
