Fabio Nakamura is a Professor at the University of Federa da Paraíba (UFPB), Brazil. He is an associate editor of Science and Medicine in Football, Journal of Sports Science and Medicine, and also member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance. In his research, more than 70 scientific articles on soccer performance stand out: Time Motion Analysis, training methods, fatigue recovery, etc. He has collaborated with several professional teams (Sporting Clube de Braga, Retro FC) and national soccer teams from around the world in research projects (including the Brazilian National Team). He has also been working with the use of heart rate variability to control positive adaptations and fatigue in team sports players and has worked as a consultant to implement training programs in soccer clubs for the optimization of neuromuscular performance and injury prevention.
