Francesco Della Villa
Dr Francesco Della Villa is a sports medicine doctor working at the Education and Research Department of Isokinetic Medical Group (Italy). He graduated in June 2013 in Bologna University as a Medical Doctor with 110/110 cum laude, with a research project on "Predictors of midterm outcome following ACLR”, then completed his Sports and Exercise Medicine residency in December 2018 in Bologna University with a votation of 110/110 cum laude and a research project on "Qualitative Movement Analysis as a predictor of 2nd ACL injury following ACLR and Return to Play”, and carried out a Fellowship in Biomechanics and ACL injuries treatment at the University of Southern California (USC) with Prof Christopher Powers PhD and Dr Bert Mandelbaum MD (Cedar Sinai Kerlain Jobe Institute) in Los Angeles and Santa Monica, CA. He performs many educative and research collaboration around the world, mainly related to optimization of ACL injuries treatment; is the author of per reviewed international papers as well as book chapters mainly related to Return to Play principles after serious knee injuries; and has a large personal experience in Movement Analysis testing, being lately concentrated but not limited to 2nd ACL injury reduction strategies.
