His academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Science at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano; a Master’s Degree in Sports Science at the Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano; and a Master’s Degree and a Doctorate in Skeletal Muscle Physiology at Manchester Metropolitan University. Using an integrative physiology approach, he is an expert on the architectural, functional, morphological, and molecular mechanisms of skeletal muscle remodeling in response to different types of exercise (mainly Eccentric vs. Concentric vs. Conventional Resistance Exercise Training).
