Currently: Professional soccer player for 19 years, in different soccer teams, such as RCD Espanyol de Barcelona S.A.D (1998 -2003), Polideportivo Ejido (2004 -2005), UD Almería (2005-2009 and 2010-2012), Real Betis Balompié SAD (2009-2010), Maccabi Tel Aviv FC (2012-2016) and Alanyaspor of Turkey (2016-2017). Assistant Coach of the following soccer teams and Federations: Maccabi Tel Aviv FC (2018), Chongqing Dangdai Lifan FC-China Super League (2019), Ecuadorian Football Federation – F.E.F (2020) and in Shenzhen F.C. of China (2020).
Academic background: Carlos has an academic background from the R.F.E.F. and a UEFA Licensed Coach title, category A.
