Dr Mikel Aramberri is an orthopedic surgeon based in Madrid, Spain
Currently: Working at Alai Sports Medicine Clinic, CEO, Real Madrid CF as a consultant traumatologist, and the Spanish Rugby Union as the Head of Medical Services
Academic background: After completing his medical studies in 2000 in Navarra (Spain) he moved to Barcelona to join an Orthopedic, Traumatology and Sports Medicine Clinic in Barcelona, where he did his internship. He then moved to Madrid to start as a Consultant in Ramón y Cajal Hospital. In 2008 he decided to advance in his shoulder knowledge and abilities and he did a Shoulder Fellowship Program with Dr. Lafosse in Annecy, France (2009). Then he went back to Madrid to continue his work at the Hospital and founded Alai Sports Medicine Clinic, mainly dedicated to Shoulder and Knee Sports Surgery. He then specialized in knee arthroscopy in 2016 in Clinique du Sport, Bordeaux, France. He has been the Team Doctor of the first team of Real Madrid CF in the 2016 and 2017 seasons
