Jamie Pugh holds a PhD in Sports Nutrition and has developed an academic career focused on skeletal muscle physiology, metabolic regulation, and redox signalling pathways, including postdoctoral research on ageing and muscle adaptation.
Alongside his research activity, he has delivered postgraduate teaching in strength and conditioning, exercise medicine, and nutrition, leading modules directly linked to applied performance practice in sport.
His background also includes applied experience in professional football and performance environments, enabling him to integrate scientific evidence with the real-world demands of daily work with high-performance athletes.
