This module focuses on analysing the competitive demands for which training is designed, addressing the physiological and external demands of football match play.

It examines what occurs during match performance to develop a precise understanding that allows the design of effective, context-specific training methods.

Module 2: Training Methods for Injury Prevention in Football I

This module explores the development of training methods aimed at injury prevention in footballers.

It covers the physiological foundations of mobility, flexibility and range of motion, as well as principles of strength and deceleration training applied to football.

Module 3: Training Methods for Injury Prevention in Football II

The module includes practical workshops on eccentric pulley systems, core strength training and assessment of cutting mechanics using the CMAS.

Clinical management and reconditioning processes following adductor injuries, pubalgia and related surgical procedures are analysed.

This module provides an integrated overview of the clinical management of spinal injuries in football.

It includes reconditioning and prevention of degenerative lumbar conditions, stress fractures, lumbar disc surgery rehabilitation and exercise-induced pain management.

Module 10: Injury Reconditioning in Footballers

This module focuses on quadriceps injuries and extensor mechanism conditions of the knee, addressing medical description and clinical management.

Reconditioning and prevention strategies for muscle injuries, tendinopathies and associated fractures are developed.

Module 11: Hamstring Injury Reconditioning and Prevention I

This module covers the clinical management of hamstring injuries and the reconditioning process following such injuries.

Restoration of function and normal biomechanics is emphasised, including rehabilitation after severe and specific hamstring complex injuries.

Module 12: Hamstring Injury Reconditioning and Prevention II

This module addresses reconditioning and prevention of proximal hamstring tendon syndrome.

It includes management of recurrent injuries and surgical approaches to severe musculotendinous injuries in footballers.

Module 13: Knee Injury Reconditioning and Prevention I

This module focuses on knee ligament injuries, with particular attention to ACL injuries.

Functional anatomy, biomechanics, risk factors, ACL reconstruction and reconditioning processes are analysed, especially in female players.

Module 14: Knee Injury Reconditioning and Prevention II

This module addresses clinical management of meniscal and chondral injuries and knee conditions in young footballers.

Reconditioning processes following lateral meniscus resection and meniscal repair are examined.

Module 15: Reconditioning of Leg, Ankle and Foot Injuries

This module covers clinical management of common leg, ankle and foot injuries, including fractures, Achilles tendinopathy and ankle sprains.

Reconditioning, prevention and pain management strategies are developed, including considerations for young footballers.

This module addresses clinical management of common shoulder injuries in footballers.

Internships with Access to Unique Opportunities in Professional Football Clubs — Flexible and Voluntary

If you would like to apply everything you learn throughout the Master’s, FSI Training offers the opportunity to access elite football clubs. We have agreements with more than 40 clubs worldwide, providing you with a unique opportunity: to train directly within their internal structures and work side by side with their technical staff.

Internships may be undertaken either as technical staff personnel or as a research profile (through our FSI Labs division). In any case, our internship programme is entirely voluntary and always open to FSI Training students. You may choose to complete an internship at a specific club and, if desired, pursue additional placements at different clubs in the future.

If internships do not align with your preferences, there is no obligation. Participation is optional, and you are free to decline. Your Master’s qualification remains fully valid, and you will receive your certificate in the same way.

What is FSI Training?
FSI Training is a global platform of professionals, leading researchers and expert voices dedicated to the development of sports science applied to football. It also offers online educational programmes and scientific and practical content aimed at professionals and students interested in football performance.
Can I access the programme from any country?
Yes. FSI Training programmes are available worldwide. You can access our Master’s programmes and courses from anywhere with an internet connection.
In which languages is the programme available?
Classes are delivered in English or Spanish, and as a student you may choose your preferred language. English videos include Spanish subtitles, and vice versa.
What is the delivery format of the programme?
All courses are delivered 100% online, with 24/7 access to video-based lessons organised into modules.
Do I need specific academic requirements to enrol?
Each application is reviewed by our academic team. FSI Training is a platform for higher education with professional certifications, therefore certain academic requirements must be met for enrolment. Each applicant’s CV will be assessed by the Academic Department.
Can I enrol in more than one Master’s programme at the same time?
Yes. You may enrol in as many programmes as you wish simultaneously.
Can I enrol in a programme before it officially opens?
You may enrol once the registration period opens. If you would like to receive information beforehand, you can register your interest on our website.
How long do I have to complete the Master’s?
The duration depends on the number of modules, but FSI Training extends the completion period by up to 8 additional months to allow you to finish your studies without difficulty.
Does FSI Training have agreements with any public universities?
FSI Training is a private institution specialised in football science that certifies its programmes through its prestigious faculty. The objective is to provide immediately applicable professional skills in professional football.

Currently, our certifications are recognised by the Mexican Football Federation and the Swedish Football Association. We are working with international universities to expand this recognition.
Will I receive a certificate after completing the Master’s?
Yes. Upon completion of your programme, you will receive an official certificate issued by FSI Training. You will also be able to download it from your personal account.
Are internships included in the Master’s?
Yes. Students who wish to gain real experience within a professional club may apply for internship opportunities periodically launched by FSI Training through its Membership programme.

Internships may be undertaken as part of the technical staff or as research personnel within the club (through FSI Labs).
Are internships mandatory?
No. You may obtain your certificate without completing an internship. However, internships provide an excellent opportunity to enter professional clubs, apply what you have learned and access a competitive environment, even without prior contacts.
