Our activity is built upon three solid pillars that ensure each research project becomes a direct pathway towards excellence in high performance.
-
We work closely with our partner clubs.
To ensure that the research conducted has real relevance within professional football and is applied not only in an academic context, but also in practical settings.
-
Hybrid expert profiles in our research.
With a combination of academic training and practical experience in sports clubs, our collaborators provide a comprehensive approach to research in the sporting field.
-
Professional scientific equipment providers.
To conduct meaningful research, it is essential to use high-quality equipment. FSI strives to obtain the best possible equipment to guarantee the rigour of the results.
Research Lines
Projects are the heart of FSI Lab. The interests and needs of our partner clubs will form the backbone of our research.
-
Technical and Tactical Analysis of High-Intensity Actions
Study of high-intensity actions that occur during matches to understand their impact on individual and collective performance in competition.
-
Transitions
Analysis of offensive and defensive transition phases, focused on team organisation and decision-making during moments of change in play.
-
Change of Direction, Deceleration and ACL
Research on changes of direction and decelerations in football, with particular attention to anterior cruciate ligament injury prevention.
-
Oxygen Saturation
Assessment of oxygen saturation as a key indicator of fatigue and physiological status of the footballer during training and competition.
-
Neuromuscular Functions
Analysis of the footballer’s neuromuscular behaviour to optimise physical performance and reduce injury risk.
-
Testing and Normative Values
Development of football-specific testing protocols to interpret the physical and functional status of players in different competitive contexts.
