His role at FSI Training
Martino Franchi is part of the FSI Training faculty, providing a leading scientific foundation in skeletal muscle physiology and its application to performance, reconditioning, and injury prevention in football.
Currently
He is an Associate Professor of Human Physiology at the Università degli Studi di Padova, where he conducts teaching and research activities in the neuromuscular field.
In addition, he collaborates as a researcher at the Universitätsklinik Balgrist and is actively involved in FSI Training master’s programmes focused on football reconditioning and injury prevention.
Professional background
He has built a solid academic and research career at leading institutions such as the University of Nottingham, the University of Zurich, and Manchester Metropolitan University, with a focus on skeletal muscle remodelling and exercise adaptation.
With an extensive international scientific output, his research integrates muscle architecture, mechanics, mechanotransduction, and eccentric exercise, connecting scientific evidence with practical applications in clinical populations and elite athletes.
