Javi Ruiz is part of the FSI Training faculty, providing an applied and international perspective in goalkeeper coaching, with a clear focus on performance development in elite and national team environments.

He is the goalkeeper coach of the Qatar National Team since December 2023, working in a high-performance international environment with goalkeepers competing at the highest level.

Professional background

After his career as a player, which began in the youth academy of FC Barcelona and continued across different Spanish professional clubs, he transitioned into coaching, specialising in goalkeeper training following his retirement in 2012.

His coaching career has developed across Europe, Asia, and Africa, working with clubs and national teams such as KAS Eupen, Tianjin Quanjian, Al Shahania SC, AEK Larnaca, and the Libya national team.

His profile stands out for combining technical and tactical goalkeeper development with adaptation to diverse cultural contexts, positioning him as a reference in international goalkeeper coaching.
