Jose Naranjo
Currently
José Naranjo has been a Professor of Exercise Physiology at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide since 2006. He has also been an associate lecturer at FSI Training since 2019, focusing on sports medicine and physiology.
Professional Career
José served as the head of medical services at Sevilla FC from 2011 to 2014 and has been an external consultant for Real Betis. He was also the physician for the Spanish women’s national football team. Previously, he led the sports medicine department at the Andalusian Football Federation and the exercise physiology laboratory at the Andalusian Center for Sports Medicine. He has worked at world championships in athletics, rowing, and futsal and collaborated in the UEFA Europa League, where he was part of Sevilla FC’s 2014 championship team.
José has authored nine books on exercise physiology and specializes in heart rate variability and the body’s adaptations to exercise.
