Ollie Morgan

Ollie Morgan is currently the Head of Academy Performance Support at Leicester City Football Club and a Professor at FSI Training.
Since December 2021, Ollie has led the Performance Support department at Leicester City, overseeing a team of sports scientists dedicated to developing the athletic capacity of young footballers aspiring to elite-level football.

Professional Career

With over a decade of experience in professional football, Ollie has primarily worked in the development and rehabilitation of young players. Before joining Leicester City, he served as the Head of Academy Sports Science at Celtic Football Club. Over three years, he led a team focused on the physical development of youth players, preparing them to compete in high-level tournaments such as the Champions League.
Prior to his tenure at Celtic, Ollie worked for over seven years at Liverpool Football Club, specializing in player rehabilitation. He was part of multidisciplinary teams, optimizing rehabilitation and conditioning processes to ensure players’ optimal return to the pitch.

Academic Background

Ollie está completando un Doctorado Profesional en la Universidad John Moores de Liverpool. Su investigación se centra en las características del movimiento multidireccional de los jóvenes futbolistas de élite. Este estudio tiene como objetivo describir de manera precisa los cambios de dirección que se producen durante los partidos y analizar las características clave detrás de estos movimientos. Su sólida base académica y experiencia práctica le permiten ofrecer un enfoque científico y eficiente tanto en el desarrollo como en la rehabilitación de los jugadores jóvenes.
