Alberto Torres is a member of the Football Science Institute faculty, providing a highly applied perspective on physical reconditioning and performance training in professional football, with a strong focus on injury prevention and safe return to competition.

Currently

He currently works as Strength and Conditioning Coach and Physical Reconditioning Specialist for the Villarreal CF first team, where he is responsible for optimising player performance and coordinating post-injury recovery processes in a highly demanding competitive environment.

His role focuses on the design of individualised reconditioning programmes, load management and the progressive return of players to peak competitive performance, in close collaboration with the medical staff and coaching team.

Alberto has built a solid career as a physical reconditioning specialist within top-level football environments. Throughout his professional path, he has worked with clubs such as Villarreal CF, Valencia CF and Athletic Club, holding roles directly linked to advanced rehabilitation and first-team physical preparation.

His international experience includes a period with Olympique de Marseille, where he worked as a physical reconditioning specialist for the first team, contributing to recovery and performance optimisation processes in elite European football.

Across his career, he has been characterised by a practical and rigorous approach to injury reconditioning, integrated work with medical departments and the application of modern methodologies aimed at sustainable performance in professional football.
