Professional background
Anja Horina is a sports dietitian with a strong background in professional football and high-performance academies. For more than eight years, she served as Head of Sports Nutrition at FC Liefering, FC Red Bull Salzburg, and the Red Bull Football Academy, leading the sports nutrition department and coordinating programs focused on nutritional monitoring, body composition, and athlete education.
Alongside her applied work, she has developed a solid academic career as a university lecturer in sports nutrition and as a researcher in the fields of clinical nutrition and disease prevention. She holds a PhD in medical sciences, with research focused on nutritional status and its relationship with cardiovascular health.
Her professional approach is grounded in the practical application of evidence-based nutrition, interdisciplinary collaboration with performance staff, and individualized athlete support across performance, rehabilitation, and long-term development processes.
