Chris Bright is part of the FSI Training faculty, contributing an applied perspective on nutrition, health management, and inclusion in football, with a particular focus on supporting players living with chronic health conditions.

He currently works as Community Partnerships and Events Lead at Breakthrough T1D UK and serves as Director of The Diabetes Football Community, an initiative he founded to support people with diabetes who are actively involved in football and futsal.

Professional background

Chris Bright has developed a multidisciplinary career combining football coaching, community engagement, and health advocacy, shaped by his personal experience of living with Type 1 diabetes since childhood.

He has been involved in football as a coach and player, including representing Wales at international futsal level, and has worked in educational and advisory roles related to equality, diversity, and inclusion within football organisations.

His work focuses on bridging applied nutrition, health education, and real-world football practice, promoting evidence-informed strategies that enable players with health conditions to participate, perform, and progress safely within the sport.
