Carlos García Badías, known as Carlos García, is a former professional footballer and UEFA PRO Licensed coach. Currently, he serves as Assistant Head Coach at Chicago Fire FC and as a professor at FSI Training. His extensive career includes roles with elite football teams across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, such as Udinese Calcio, Maccabi Tel Aviv FC, and the Ecuadorian Football Federation.

Professional Career

Carlos began his playing career at RCD Espanyol de Barcelona, advancing to the first team in 2003. He went on to play for UD Almería, helping the team achieve promotion to La Liga in 2007, as well as Real Betis Balompié and Maccabi Tel Aviv FC, where he won multiple national titles in Israel. He concluded his playing career at Alanyaspor in Turkey, retiring in 2017.
Transitioning into coaching in 2018, Carlos held roles as a technical collaborator at Udinese Calcio, assistant coach at Shenzhen Football Club in China, and head coach of Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam FC in Israel. In 2024, he joined Chicago Fire FC as Assistant Head Coach, contributing to the team's strategic and technical development. Internationally, Carlos has represented Spain in youth categories, earning gold at the XV Mediterranean Games in 2005, and has also played for the Catalonia national team in friendly matches.
