Miguel Alonso

Miguel Alonso has been the High Performance Manager at the Centre de Formation of Olympique de Marseille since July 2022. In this role, he oversees the physical and athletic development of young players, applying his expertise in performance optimization and injury prevention.
Professional Career
Before joining Olympique de Marseille, Miguel was in charge of physical preparation at the Valencia CF academy (2019-2022). He also taught at the Universidad Católica de Valencia as a professor in the Master's program in Applied Sciences for Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation in Sports. Throughout his career, he has served as an assistant coach for several professional football teams, including CD Mirandés, SD Huesca, and CD Leganés, helping the latter reach the promotion play-offs to the Second Division. With over 15 years of experience in football, Miguel has worked in various clubs and academies, such as Real Club Recreativo de Huelva and Marbella Fútbol Club, and has been invited as a professor at the University of Vigo, contributing to the analysis of performance in team sports.

Miguel Alonso has a solid academic background, with a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the Universidade de Vigo, a master's in physical preparation and sports rehabilitation in football from UCAM, and a certificate in workload and injuries in team sports from Barça Innovation Hub.
