New Strategic Agreement Between FSI Training and SCU Torreense Women’s Team

A key collaboration to boost football science education, sports research and real professional development opportunities in elite football, strengthening the strategic alliance between academic institutions and professional clubs.

The Football Science Institute (FSI) and Sport Clube União Torreense – Futebol Feminino have signed a strategic collaboration agreement aimed at providing a solid academic-scientific structure to the field of sports performance. This alliance will enable the club to strengthen the training of its technical staff, participate in applied research projects, and welcome students from the FSI ecosystem.

Continuous Training for the Torreense Technical Staff

The agreement includes training scholarships for club professionals to access FSI master’s programs and certifications, as well as VIP entry to the FSI International Conference, a global network of experts and direct contact with leading researchers in sports science.

This represents a firm step towards the professionalization of their technical structure, connecting the day-to-day realities of football with the most advanced knowledge. advanced knowledge.

FSI LAB + Torreense Women’s Team: An Alliance that Generates Knowledge

Torreense is joining as an official collaborating club of FSI Lab, the applied research laboratory of FSI. In 2025, there is a possibility of developing a joint research project that could involve FSI faculty, club staff, and certified students providing logistical and technical support.

The goal of this collaboration would be to transform practice into evidence and share useful knowledge for professional football at an international level. However, we are still evaluating the feasibility of this project.

What About FSI Students?

FSI Training offers seven internationally recognized master’s programs that combine theory, academic research, and practical experience in elite clubs. Areas of specialization include performance, sports medicine, nutrition, tactical analysis, rehabilitation, and training.

With this new agreement, Torreense joins as an official collaborating club for internships, offering FSI students the opportunity to gain real training experience within a professional environment. Additionally, they will have access to an exclusive job board, where they will receive job offers from associated clubs.
