FSI Training and Sevilla FC Sign Strategic Collaboration Agreement
FSI Training has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Sevilla FC, one of the most historic and internationally recognised clubs in LaLiga. The objective is clear: to strengthen the connection between science and practice in elite football performance.
Strategic Agreement Between FSI Training and Sevilla FC to Strengthen Education and Research in Elite Football
At FSI Training, we continue advancing our mission to connect science with professional practice in high-performance sport.
We are pleased to announce the signing of a strategic agreement with Sevilla FC, one of the historic clubs in European football. This collaboration represents another step forward in our commitment to continuous education and the development of scientific knowledge applied to professional football.
This partnership holds special significance for our institution, as Bernardo Requena, CEO of FSI Training, was part of Sevilla FC’s first-team coaching staff as a strength and conditioning coach during the 2004–2005 and 2005–2006 seasons. Nearly two decades later, both institutions collaborate again from an academic and scientific perspective.
The agreement will initially run for one year, with the possibility of renewal, and establishes a framework aimed at generating value for both the club’s professionals and the international community of FSI students.
New Opportunities for FSI Students
Thanks to this agreement, students enrolled in FSI Training’s Professional Football Master’s programmes will have the opportunity to complete internships at Sevilla FC, integrating into a high-performance environment and gaining direct experience within one of LaLiga’s and European football’s benchmark clubs.
In addition, Sevilla FC officially joins FSI Training’s global network of partner clubs. Through our platform, the club will be able to publish job opportunities and access specialised profiles from our international community of certified students and professionals.
Applied Research with FSI Lab
The collaboration also includes Sevilla FC’s participation in projects developed by FSI Lab, FSI Training’s applied research department.
Led by Fabio Nakamura, an internationally recognised sports scientist, FSI Lab drives research lines focused on performance optimisation, injury prevention, training load management, and competitive process enhancement. Sevilla FC will be able to join ongoing projects or develop new joint research initiatives.
The agreement also provides the club’s technical staff with access to FSI Training’s academic programmes, reinforcing their continuous development within a scientific environment of excellence.
A Growing International Network
With this alliance, Sevilla FC joins more than 40 elite clubs already collaborating with FSI Training worldwide.
We continue building a global network that integrates education, professional practice, and applied scientific research in football. Our objective is clear: to generate useful, transferable knowledge with real impact on performance.
This collaboration reinforces our commitment to delivering value to both our partner clubs and the professionals who are part of the FSI ecosystem.
