Irineu Loturco is part of the FSI Training faculty, contributing a reference perspective in sport science and strength training applied to football, with a rigorous approach focused on high-performance sport.

Currently

He is Director of Sport Science and Research Lead at the São Paulo High Performance Centre (NAR-SP) and scientific coordinator of postgraduate programmes in training methodology and sports medicine at the Federal University of São Paulo.

Professional background

He has an outstanding research career, with more than 110 indexed scientific publications and a strong academic impact in the fields of physical performance and exercise physiology.

His work has focused particularly on the application of strength training in football players, collaborating with top-level clubs and the Brazilian national team in elite performance environments.

In addition to his academic activity, he advises high-performance athletes by integrating physiology, biomechanics, and training, enabling effective transfer of scientific research to athletic performance.
