Mark Russell is part of the FSI Training faculty, providing a strong scientific and applied foundation in performance nutrition and exercise physiology within team sports.

He is a Professor at Leeds Trinity University, where he leads the research theme “Enhancing Human Performance” and develops projects focused on competitive performance and in-game strategy optimisation.

His work has explored physiological and performance profiling in team sports, including football and rugby, with particular emphasis on match performance optimisation, recovery strategies, and half-time interventions.
