Yann Le Meur is a member of the FSI Training faculty, providing a cutting-edge perspective on translating scientific knowledge into training methodology and decision-making in elite football.
His teaching focus centers on recovery optimization, training monitoring, and the development of integrated performance frameworks within highly complex sporting environments.
Currently
He serves as Assistant Performance Director at Newcastle United FC, joining the club's performance department in August 2026 to contribute his expertise in sport science, recovery and training monitoring at one of the most demanding environments in the Premier League.
Furthermore, he is the founder of YLMSportScience, the world's most recognized scientific infographic platform, used by thousands of professionals to apply scientific evidence to the field.
Professional background
With a PhD in Exercise Physiology, he has been a key figure in the success of world-class athletes such as Daniil Medvedev and at leading institutions like INSEP in Paris. He previously served as Director of Performance at AS Monaco, leading a multidisciplinary department of over 20 specialists in sport science, medicine, nutrition, and psychology applied to the first team.
Having published over 40 scientific articles and serving on the editorial board of the British Journal of Sports Medicine, his career is distinguished by his unique capacity for leadership and knowledge dissemination in international high performance.
