New Strategic Partnership Between FSI Training and SCU Torreense Women’s Team
A key collaboration to promote education in football science, applied sports research, and real professional development opportunities in elite football, strengthening the strategic alliance between academic institutions and professional clubs.
Football Science Institute (FSI) and Sport Clube União Torreense – Women’s Football have signed a strategic collaboration agreement aimed at strengthening the academic and scientific structure within the club’s performance department.
This partnership will enable the club to enhance the education of its technical staff, participate in applied research projects, and open its doors to students within the FSI ecosystem.
Continuous Education for Torreense Technical Staff
The agreement includes educational scholarships for club professionals to access FSI Master’s programmes and certifications, as well as VIP access to the FSI International Conference, entry into a global network of experts, and direct contact with leading researchers in sports science.
A decisive step towards the professionalisation of their technical structure, connecting the day-to-day reality of football with the most advanced scientific knowledge.
FSI Lab + SCU Torreense: A Knowledge-Driven Alliance
Torreense joins as an official collaborating club of FSI Lab, FSI’s applied research department. In 2025, the possibility of developing a joint research project is being considered, potentially involving FSI faculty members, club staff, and certified students providing logistical and technical support.
The objective of this collaboration would be to transform practice into evidence and share valuable knowledge for professional football at an international level. However, the feasibility of this project is currently under evaluation.
And What About FSI Students?
FSI Training offers seven internationally recognised Master’s programmes that combine theory, academic research, and practical experience within elite clubs. Areas of specialisation include performance, sports medicine, nutrition, tactical analysis, reconditioning, and coaching.
With this new agreement, SCU Torreense Women’s Team joins as an official internship partner club, offering FSI students the opportunity to gain real training experience within a professional environment. In addition, they will have access to an exclusive job board featuring employment opportunities from partner clubs.
