Content of the Master's Degree in Physical Preparation in Professional Football
A complete training program with more than 90 hours of video that will turn you into a specialist in physical preparation for professional soccer, with the skills and knowledge demanded today by the best elite clubs.
This module will focus on analyzing a crucial aspect of training process design: the analysis of the event for which the training is intended. In this block we will examine the physiological and external demands of a soccer match.
The focus will be on what happens when a person plays soccer. This module will provide an accurate understanding that will then be used to design effective training methods. It will also provide an in-depth look at context analysis to design training plans.
This module will focus on performance improvement and fatigue management in soccer. Aspects such as the evaluation of different factors to categorize and monitor the performance of soccer players, the identification of fatigue issues to prevent overtraining and injury risk, and the importance of mental and cognitive assessments will be covered.
The module will include classes on biomarker monitoring, physiological assessment through heart rate monitoring, body composition assessment , creation of databases for medical management of performance data and tracking in football teams.
This module focuses on the importance of measuring physical values to improve performance in soccer. The emphasis is that measurement is the basis for improvement and that it should be done without being intrusive to players.
The module covers topics such as the different physical values to be measured, how to measure them accurately and how to evaluate the results to optimize performance.
This module addresses physical load monitoring for training. Various technical means of monitoring the load of soccer players will be explored, with specialists from the field sharing their knowledge.
The goal is to simplify and make effective load monitoring, starting with basic questions to athletes and progressing to more complex methods.
This module covers the first part of a key topic in this Master of Physical Preparation in Professional Football: training to improve fatigue resistance in soccer players.
Since soccer matches last 90 minutes or more, resistance to fatigue is essential for every member of the team. The module is divided into two parts due to its depth and focuses on the daily training process.
This module covers the means, methods and interventions necessary to improve the fatigue resistance of male and female players on the field. The second part of the content will focus more on the practical aspects of the training process, including game analysis, task design and complementary classes indirectly related to fatigue resistance.
This module focuses on training methods to increase the ability of soccer players to perform better in high intensity actions. Unlike traditional strength training, this module does not focus on injury prevention, but rather on direct performance enhancement through mechanically similar exercises with some form of overload.
This module deals with physical preparation for injury prevention in soccer. The objective is to help those who specialize in physical preparation to understand how to prevent the most common injuries in soccer and how to treat chronic injuries that can affect the performance of both male and female players.
This module will detail injury prevention from a strength and conditioning perspective, with special focus on specific injuries such as hamstring and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. It will also examine the best protocols for preventing these injuries and how to treat chronically injured players.
This module delves into training methods to increase players’ drive capacity and high intensity performance. The main objective is to improve performance through exercises with overload and similar to high intensity movements in soccer.
This module will cover the differences between concurrent and individualized training in soccer, and their respective benefits. Strategies to prevent detraining during the offseason and optimize the preseason will be explored.
This module offers practical examples of pre-season and in- season periodization for footballers. This block of the Master’s Degree in Physical Preparation in Professional Football highlights the importance of designing effective training plans to improve physical performance and prevent injuries .
This module focuses on the importance of warm-up in training. From a theoretical-practical perspective, we will address the elements that influence the performance of soccer players.
This module addresses key aspects of recovery in soccer, such as managing recovery between games, sleep management, preparation for international tournaments and practical recovery strategies.
This module contains the essential aspects of nutrition in soccer, emphasizing the importance of physical preparation professionals understanding nutrition as part of their daily work, especially for recovery and high intensity training.
This module covers key aspects of youth soccer player development, focusing on neuromuscular performance, individualized training and talent development, with a special focus on minimizing injury risk.
